WHO WE ARE
For over 30 years we have been educating the young people of Mullingar in all things dance and performing arts. Our students take part in many events throughout the dance year such as our annual shows, examinations and competitions. We enrol new students from the age of 3, and many of them are still with us well into their adult years! It’s all about working hard, making memories and lifelong friendships here at Energy Plus!
ANNE-MARIE BENTICK F.A.B.D.
Anne-Marie Bentick began dancing aged 4yrs old , and hasn’t stopped since!
Her training began at Pattison Dance Academy as a full time student. She then attended Hazel Hathaway School of Dance and Shirley Thompson School of Dance. Subjects studied are Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acro, Contemporary, National, Greek, Ballroom, Latin American, Speech & Drama and Musical Theatre. Anne-Marie gained her first teaching qualifications in 1983 and set up her own school , ENERGY PLUS SCHOOL OF DANCE in Coventry, where she taught for 6 years before moving to Ireland in 1989. Anne-Marie continued her training and is now a Fellowship Member and Examiner with Associated Board of Dance.
Anne-Marie has Choreographed, directed and produced many many productions over the last 35 years for her own students and for many companies throughout Ireland and the UK. Her students have gone on to gain entry into London Colleges and continued as working Professionals in West End productions and around the world.
"I aim to give my students an all-round performance training. Each student is given the opportunity to take part in our Yearly dance production, Musical Production, numerous competitions and displays. Energy Plus Students work through their technical grades and are guided safely as they progress through their grades.
Along with learning the skills that are needed to perform our Students gain so much more…..
The discipline and hard work they apply in dance class carries through to so many different areas of their lives. They make lasting friendships here at Energy Plus, helping each other to prepare for and get through the many challenges that performance training brings. Their confidence soars as they settle in to their new dance family and learn to love the art of dance and performance.
After so many years of teaching in Mullingar, it is wonderful to see my students coming back in my door with their own children and so off we go again….. new students, new challenges, new friends , new experiences. Always an absolute privilege and honour to teach these wonderful children.

FROZEN JUNIOR - THE MUSICAL!
Exciting announcement! We are finally doing a musical again! FROZEN JUNIOR! Open not only to Energy Plus students but to EVERYONE. If you are aged 6 upwards we want to see you! Our show will be on March 25th & 26th and rehearsals every Sunday starting January 22nd. Spread the word! Oh, and one question....do you want to build a snowman?
